Shell’s business

We are one of Australia’s leading gas producers, focused on developing Queensland’s world-class onshore gas reserves.

Located in Queensland, we produce natural gas from the Surat Basin of Queensland. This is supplied to the Australian domestic market or for export as LNG via our liquefaction plant on Curtis Island.

We aspire to be welcomed in the communities where we operate and want to leave a lasting, positive impact. We do this both through social investment and through our efforts to create more opportunities for local people and local businesses.

Support for suppliers

Shell proactively supports local and Indigenous Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to grow and diversify.

OUR COMMITMENT TO LOCAL BUSINESSES

Shell Australia understands the impact of poor payment practices and lengthy payment terms on small businesses. We want to make it easy to do business with us.

We’ve committed to 30 days payment terms with small businesses entering our supply chain, an exception to Shell’s global policy of 60 days payment terms that is in effect for all our Tier 1 contractors.
